1. How Does the Affiliate Program Work?

As a TikTok Shop Creator in Ireland, you can add affiliate products to your TikTok Product Showcase and earn commissions on qualifying purchases. Different products have different commission rates.

2. How Do I Access the Affiliate Program?

To participate in the affiliate program:
  • Verify your name: Ensure it matches the name on your beneficiary account. Your name cannot be changed after submission.
  • Provide a valid payout method: Add your local bank account details to receive payouts.
  • Complete KYC (Know Your Customer): This is required to comply with local regulations.
If your information is inaccurate, payouts cannot be processed, and you won’t receive your commissions.

3. How Do Estimated Commissions Work?

The estimated commission is calculated by multiplying the product’s average discounted price by the commission rate. The final payout summary may vary depending on discounts available to customers when placing an order.

4. How Do I Receive Commissions?

You'll earn commissions from qualifying purchases of affiliate items. Your commission is calculated using this formula:
  • Commission = (Revenue - Refunds) x Commission Rate
Your final commission may differ from the estimated commission due to factors like coupons or refunds.

5. When Will I Receive My Commission?

You should receive your commission on the 3rd or 15th day after the order is successfully delivered, based on the seller’s settlement period with TikTok Shop. However:
  • Commissions may be delayed if there are disputes, refunds, or return requests.
  • Commissions cannot be paid until these issues are resolved.

6. Automatic Payouts

If you don’t manually withdraw your balance, TikTok Shop will automatically initiate payouts every 90 days for creators who:
  • Have a remaining balance.
  • Have a valid local bank account.
  • Have no withdrawal restrictions on your account (e.g. TAX compliance issues such as DAC7 non-compliance).
You’ll receive an in-app notification 7 days before the automatic payout is initiated.

7. How to View and Manage Your Payouts

  • Go to the Payout Summary section in the E-commerce Creator Center.
  • Check your available payouts and payout history.
  • Add or update your beneficiary account to ensure successful payouts.

Q: When will TikTok Shop automatically initiate a payout?TikTok Shop will automatically initiate a payout if you have not manually requested one for more than 90 days, provided that you have a remaining balance, a valid local bank account, and no withdrawal restrictions on your account.
Q: Why didn’t I receive my commission?This might be for a number of reasons, for example:
  • If the buyer cancels the order before receiving the shipment.
  • If the buyer refunds the order during the after-sales period.
  • If the buyer confirms receipt but a partial refund occurs, you’ll only receive a partial commission.
Q: Can merchants earn affiliate commissions?
  • Yes, if one merchant helps another merchant sell products, that merchant will earn affiliate commissions from the merchant whose product they helped to sell.
Q: Why is my actual commission €0 on the Not Settled page?
  • Commissions are only sent after orders are settled. For all orders on the Not Settled page, the commission is €0.
