Overview

1.1 Introduction

The TikTok Shop EU Commission Rate Policy (hereafter referred to as "this Policy") has been drafted with the express purpose of:

• building a positive shopping environment on TikTok Shop; and
• providing a shopping experience that consumers can have confidence in.

Sellers who offer products for sale via TikTok Shop to customers in the EU must do so in accordance with our EU Seller Terms of Service and all other applicable platform policies and guidelines.
This Policy will apply to all Sellers who offer products for sale via TikTok Shop in the EU.

1.2 Scope

This Policy outlines how Sellers will be charged for selling on TikTok Shop EU in accordance with the Commission Fee. This Policy also provides details of how Sellers may be eligible for associated Commission Fee reductions. All references to TikTok Shop in this Policy are to TikTok Shop EU.This Policy is not exhaustive, and Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring that they do not engage in any practice that is prohibited under this Policy and that they comply with applicable laws and regulations, and all TikTok Shop EU Policies, the TikTok Shop EU Seller Terms of Service, the TikTok Shop EU Seller Terms of Sale, the TikTok Shop EU Terms of Use, the TikTok Terms of Service, and the TikTok Community Guidelines. Sellers may wish to seek independent legal advice if they have questions about the laws and regulations concerning their practices.

Definitions

• Defined terms in this Policy have the following meanings:
  • Commission Fee refers to the platform fee paid by Sellers to TikTok Shop on all GMV generated by sales.
  • Commission Fee rate refers to the specific percentage of GMV charged as Commission Fee.
  • Mission refers to action-based incentives available to eligible Sellers in the Seller Centre. Successfully meeting the terms of the Mission will unlock Seller incentives
  • Seller refers to a third-party trader on TikTok Shop UK based in the EU.
  • GMV refers to Gross Merchandise Value or a Seller's gross sales revenue from sales made on TikTok Shop.

Commission Rates

TikTok Shop charges a fee from Sellers on all transactions on the platform. The Commission Fee is a specific percentage of an order's total amount charged.

• In the EU, TikTok Shop charges 9% commission on settled orders.
• This fee is inclusive of applicable taxes, including but not limited to Value Added Tax (VAT).

The Commission Fee owed will be calculated as:
Commission Fee = ((Net Sales + Customer-paid Shipping Fee + Platform Discount) - (Net Sales Refund + Platform Discount Refund)) * Commission Fee rateCustomer ReturnsIf the entire order is returned, the full Commission Fee will be refunded to the Seller. If part of the order is refunded, only the Commission Fee charged on the refunded item(s) will be refunded to the Seller.

Commission Fee Reductions

1. Category-Level Reductions: sales of Electronics products (including Beauty & Personal Care Electronics) within the categories specified here may experience a reduced effective commission fee rate of 7%.
2. New Seller Reduction: New Sellers who open a new store on TikTok Shop may be eligible to enjoy a reduced commission fee for a limited time period (please see below for more details). Sellers who have been designated by TikTok Shop as a "new seller" will receive a mission in Seller Center and have 15 calendar days from day of receipt to accept, upload 5 products and complete the mission. Successfully completing the mission will automatically trigger the new seller commission fee reduction.
3. Other reductions: from time to time, TikTok Shop may discretionally offer additional reductions, via mission or other incentive agreements, to standard commission fee rates. Sellers will accordingly be informed.

Category-Level Reductions

• If products are incorrectly set up within the reduced rate eligible product categories and re-categorised by TikTok Shop product listings review processes, they will not benefit from the lower effective commission fee rate.
• If sellers have a mix of items from eligible and ineligible product categories, only the eligible category items will receive the category-level commission reduction benefit.

New Seller Commission Reduction

From 15th June 2026, eligible new sellers creating a new store on TikTok Shop in eligible EU countries may benefit from a reduced Commission Fee from the standard 9% rate.
In order to be designated as an eligible new seller for the Commission Reduction Mission Programme, TikTok Shop will verify if sellers meet with the requirements to qualify for "new seller" status via an internal moderation process. To qualify as a new seller, a store must fulfill:

1. First TikTok Shop EU store: The seller must not have onboarded TikTok Shop in any EU country before, and must be opening their first TikTok Shop store in eligible EU countries listed below. TikTok Shop verifies this using information such as incorporation documents, tax details, contact information and technical data.
2. EU Local Shipping: The store must operate using EU Local Shipping. POP International Shipping products and related orders are not eligible for this Programme.
3. Unique Products: The portfolio of listed products in the new store must be substantially different from products previously sold on TikTok Shop EU, based on attributes such as product IDs, names, descriptions, features and imagery.

How to Claim the Commission Reduction

1. Eligible sellers will receive the "New Seller Commission Reduction" mission in Seller Center > Growth Opportunities.
2. The seller must accept the mission and upload at least 5 in-stock products to their shop (for this program, "in-stock" means the product is Live/Active and has inventory greater than 0).
3. These actions must be completed within the 15-day window after receiving the mission.

The reduction period begins automatically as soon as the mission is successfully completed – that is, once the seller has accepted the mission and has at least 5 in-stock products.

Terms & Conditions

• Sellers who do not complete the mission within the 15-day acceptance window will forfeit the Commission Reduction Benefit and will not be re-eligible for this new seller program.
• TikTok Shop reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this program at any time for sellers who have not yet accepted the program mission or completed the eligibility requirements. For sellers who have already accepted the mission and uploaded at least 5 in-stock products to qualify for the benefit, any changes that remove your Commission Reduction Benefit will be communicated to you immediately if you are found to have violated TikTok Shop seller terms, committed fraud, or misrepresented your eligibility for the program.
• TikTok Shop makes all initial eligibility and ineligibility determinations for this program. Sellers have the right to appeal any such determination in accordance with applicable law.
• The benefit applies per country; each shop receives the reduction rate and duration corresponding to its own country.
  • Example: A seller onboards in France will automatically have their other EU country shops opened. Once they complete the mission requirements in any country, their French/German/Spanish/Italian/Irish shops will enjoy a 4% Commission Fee for 60 days and their Polish/Netherlands/Belgium/Czechia/Austria/Greece/Portugal/Hungary shops will enjoy a 2% Commission Fee for 90 days.
• Commission Reduction Incentives cannot be stacked; one Commission Reduction Incentive will be applied per product at a time. When a product is eligible for multiple reductions, the system will apply the single lowest applicable rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I'm opening shops in multiple eligible countries at the same time. What Commission Fee applies to each?

The benefit applies per country, so each shop receives the rate and duration corresponding to its own country.
For example, if you open a shop in France and a shop in Poland, your French shop will enjoy a 4% Commission Fee for 60 days and your Polish shop will enjoy a 2% Commission Fee for 90 days — each starting once the mission is completed.

2. I already sell in Spain/France/Germany/Italy and I'm now opening a new shop in Poland/Netherlands/Belgium/Czechia/Austria/Greece/Portugal/Hungary. Do I qualify for the new seller reduction?

No. The new seller Commission Reduction is only available to sellers opening their first TikTok Shop store in the EU. If you are already selling in an existing EU country, the standard 9% Commission Fee applies to all your shops, including any newly opened ones.

3. I sell Electronics products. What happens to my Commission Fee once my new seller reduction period ends?

If your products are listed under an eligible Electronics category (including Beauty & Personal Care Electronics), see above, the category-level Commission Fee Rate of 7% will automatically apply once your new seller reduction period ends. Note that this only applies to correctly categorised products — if a product has been re-categorised by TikTok Shop's listing review process, it will not benefit from the reduced rate. If you sell a mix of Electronics and non-Electronics products, only the eligible category items will receive the category-level reduction; the standard 9% rate applies to the rest.
